JRN standing for "Junior Researchers Network. I'm not enthusiastic about this name but I put it as a beginning
THE NETWORK NAME?
The idea is that everybody of us willing to do so WRITES here below her/his proposal(s) (name of the network and short explanation/comment) until the 30th of April 2012. In May we will democratically vote for 'electing' which will be the official name of our network for the years to come ;)

I liked this best, but I am open for most of the suggestons, the first one (from these alternatives), young researchers etc, I think is least attractive.

Hi all,
Here is my suggestion:
why don't we use MixCity? We could even interprete it as an abbreviation 'MIxCity,' which would stand for M = migration or migrants, I = intercultutality, x = multiplied (by) City (as a focus of our academic work).
The meaning of Mixcity is well explained in French (mixite) on https://www.toupie.org/Dictionnaire/Mixite_sociale.htm .

I like the idea!!
I googled it to check if it was already much used (not used at all being nearly impossible... due to tons of 'minds at work' in the world, on multiple fronts!) and indeed it is just used in the music-radio field (mix, of course, referring to mixing music) hence new for our field(s) (migration, urban studies, policies, sociology etc)...
